Looking for cooler summer temp camping in Utah
We are doing the summerbird thing escaping from the brutal summer temps in Arizona. We are going to find ourselves in northern Utah around the end of July. Would like to find some places to hang out for a couple of weeks. Can self contain but would prefer full hook ups. We like to hike etc.

You may consider going a little further north to the Black Hills of South Dakota. Lots to do and see there. Custer State Park, Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse, Sturgis, Deadwood. Short trip to the Badlands or over to WY and Devils Tower. Just a thought.

If you are going to be in the Northern Utah area and want to be cooler in July I would suggest maybe Logan area or even a little more north and head up to Garden City/Bear Lake area.
If you want to go even a bit further the Montpelier, ID area or Afton, WY areas are nice that time of year.
I noticed you have a Jeep and there are some off-road trails in the Bear Lake area if you are interested in exploring.
We generally spend a bit of time in Afton in July and it is 10+ degrees cooler than we are normally at here along the Wasatch Front.

For northern Utah search for RV parks in Heber City - Jordanelle State Park is nice and has hookups and this area is a good base for exploring Park City and Salt Lake City. Garden City/Bear Lake is nice. You said you need hookups otherwise there are some awesome national forest campgrounds in the Uinta Mtns.

I see you are out west.
Maybe Oregon Coast or Glacier or Idaho.
On the east coast, I go to Northen Michigan, White Mountains of New Hampshire, and Maine.
Vermont doesn’t have enough CGs that can handle big rigs up North, maybe someone should build a big rig CG in northern Vermont for me. Maybe right off I 91 near the Canadian Border.
We did a trip to Burlington and didn’t like it at all, not going back there again.

Depends on what direction you want to go after your "escape the heat" location.
The mountains of northern New Mexico are a good choice if headed that way.
Angel Fire, Eagle Nest, Red River.
All over 8,000' so nice and cool in the summer. Ski resorts in winter.
We spend summers in Angel Fire for that reason.

It's been a few years since a family reunion at this RV resort, but I'd recommend Echo Island RV Resort near Coalville, UT --> https://escapervresorts.com/locations/echo-island/
It is a great, roomy facility that has many activities within the resort. When "mountain" activities are desired (hiking, biking, etc.) Park City, UT is a short 20 minute drive away --> https://www.visitparkcity.com/things...er-activities/
Hope this info is helpful !

If you can do without hookups for a while and don't mind some rough dirt roads, maybe consider boondocking in the Uinta Range -- ten thousand feet -- nice and cool!
Here is a blog post that may be of interest:
