We are looking to head to Montana for about 6 weeks in the summer of 2016. We are looking for an RV park to stop with our TT and basically stay the whole time. Unfortunately, we aren't full timers, and I own a company that requires me to stay connected. I can do this through broadband if I have a good signal (I know this eliminates some of the best parks) or at a RV park that has wifi.

We were looking and found one called Merry Widow & Health Mine that looked nice, but were wondering if anybody in the forum has stayed at any other nice FHU parks with wifi in Montana (anywhere in the state) or near major highways and therefore likely to have decent broadband access.

Any suggestions from those that have been there would be appreciated...

Montana is huge. And beautiful. What part are you thinking about and what do you want to do there?

Most RV parks aren't known for their fast internet connections but I'd think that the libraries in the larger cities would have a decent connection.

You might narrow it down a bit. You do realize just how big Montana is?

I would consider Kalispell or Missoula. We love the Square Dance RV place at Lolo MT and I think they recently upgraded their wifi.

We love NW Montana, around the Troy/Libby area. Take a look at Woodland RV Park in Libby, maybe that will do and the area will not disappoint! Here's a few short videos from our last trip to Troy.

We stayed there once with the FMCA 4-wheeling rally. The park wasn't much. We didn't use internet so don't know how it is.

For a place to stay a long period of time, first decide what you want to do in the area and then pick your town and then look for RV parks. As others stated, Montana is huge so you can't just tour and see everything. Pick your area first.

Hi Sodajosh,
Consider getting your own hot spot for data communications. I use a Verizon JetPack. 4GLTE technology. I've used it all over the USA and it works great. I know of no Wyoming CGs with good, fast and reliable WIFI.
What I can provide info on is do not go to St. Mary (East side of Glacier NP). There is no wireless of any kind in that valley.

Thank you for all of the tips! I understand that Montana is a big state, as my wife is from there and we have been several times. But this is the first time in an RV and we decided we were literally open to exploring ALL options... flatlands, mountains, lakes, cities. We just wanna get out of the Texas heat for 6 weeks or so. I think I prefer the mountains, but we enjoyed Seeley Lake tremendously as well on our last trip (non-RV) so we are open to everything.

I appreciate all of the feedback though and will be checking out all of these locations!

For cool temps you might consider staying in the western area. Livingston or Bozeman are nice towns and close for exploring Yellowstone.. Others we like are Missoula, Kalispell, and Whitefish. Ennis is great if you like fly fishing and the Ennis RV park is very nice. However, it's a small town if that's o.k. with you.
