Looking for new home

Does anyone know of any really nice rv "resorts" near Tampa Florida. I am looking to purchase a spot. The internets idea of a resort and mine are two different things. Hope to hear from you guys.

So,, in your mind's eye what is a "really nice resort".

From my home 30 miles north of Tampa there are well over 400 "resorts". Everything from three swimming pools, food delivered to your door, and your patio swept every morning,
to,
" Your space is down the street over there, see you next month when your rent is due".

There is really no substitute for a trip to see the places. "Fee simple" ownership Resorts are less common than short & long term lease or % ownership operations. Also as you go south of Tampa you will find more. Between Venice & Naples you will find a number of places to check out.

Steve I agree there is nothing like being there to see them, but it is hard to find something nice in the area for a starting point.

I understand. I can't help you much in the greater Tampa area.

This one is 40-50 miles south of Tampa, just south of Venice:

http://www.myakkamotorcoachresort.com/

It's small and fairly new. Then in the Fort Myers area there are several.
1. Cypress Woods
2. Cypress Lake
3. Riverbend
4. Gulf Waters

The yardstick of ownership Resorts is Pelican Lake in Naples. There are 3-4 other very high end Resorts in the Naples area but now you are 175 miles south of Tampa.

New park in Punta Gorda area. Friends just bought there. Can come up with a name but if I do I'll post. It's very close to Peace River.

If you wanted to head east on I-4, there's Bay Lake Motorcoach Resort near Lakeland/Polk City. Probably an hr. or so from Tampa.
