Looking to get away from the heat of Las Vegas

Hi all, we are looking to get out of the heat of Las Vegas for a weekend. Any ideas for a short trip? Thanks.

San Diego on the coast. Chula Vista RV and Marina is on the water. MIssion Bay RV (I think that is it) on the bay in San Diego. In land would be warmer but not as hot as LV. Santee Lakes in Santee just East of San Diego is on, well lakes. Lots to see and do in San Diego. The Zoo, Sea World, Old Town, Balboa Park the Beach at the end of Grand Avenue on Mission Beach, or La Jolla Cove, or Torrey Pines.

And it is prime fishing season in Mexico a lots of charter boats heading out of San Diego Bay, one day, two day, five days boats and out on the water it can get downright chilly.

Whats wrong with the north rim of the Grand Canyon? Should be fairly cool up there.

Or Flagstaff, it's always cool over there.

Don't know if 300 miles qualifies as "short" but it's likely to be a lot cooler in Long Beach right on the water than in Las Vegas. It's a great little park. You can walk to the ferry terminal and take a boat to Catalina for an even cooler experience.
