Bandelier Nat'l Park; many national forest campgrounds around and RV parks a little more distance away.

When? A lot of those campgrounds are closed now for the winter.

X2 on Bandelier -- save a day or two for touring the ruins. Pro tip -- wear hiking boots or grippy tennis shoes for climbing the ladders.

And bring your appetite -- the food in the Santa Fe area is great!

Howdy!

Bandelier Nat'l Park Is about it up top. We have frequently boondock at the rest stop located just as you come in at the top of the Mesa. It has restrooms only dump and water. You have to go the the aquatic center to pay-to-stay. I believe the last time we visited family who lived in Los Alamos the fee was $10.00 a day. We chose there as our 44’ 5er will not fit in Bandelier. Dow the Mesa we stay at Roadrunner RV Park. No frills Park but has FHU’s and large pull throughs. We like it as it’s close to a few casinos near by and close enough to drive into Santa Fe.

There is a visitor center in White Rock that has RV parking with power at a reasonable cost. We stayed there a couple nights when we visited Los Alamos and the National Park.
