Mackinac Island
I would look at the area Casinos for a place to camp while visiting Mackinac Island.

Freddy - I plugged in the co-ords into Google Earth and it took me to the Mackinac State Penitentiary! Just kidding but.......isn't what you are suggesting others do trespassing?

Mill Creek! Right near the bridge. If you have an IPhone you need to download AllStays...it has commercial, FS, BLM, COE, State, County, Elks, etc camping all on one tool with reviews, overview, phone numbers, website, etc.

OP: Have our suggestions been of any help? Let us know what you chose.

We stayed at TeePee last September. Great view of the Island, Bridge and Lake. Within bike/walking to downtown. Ferry your bikes to Macinac Island, much cheaper than rentals over there. Day trip to Soo Locks and state parks in the UP.

A bike boat pass is $13 or you can rent bikes on the island for $8/hr. The trail around the island is 8.3 miles and can easily be done in under a hour. The rest of the town is within walking distance with some steep grades (not good on a bike).

We’re at Mill Creek campground now. This is our second time here. Love this place, very professional. They check and clean every site before the next camper comes in. The extra large sites are great. Have fun, we’re headed to Manistique Lakeshore park next and then on to Cherry RV park in Leelanau (Wine country).
