Wow. An adventure indeed. Glad that you made it. Are you there or going further?

Glad you made it safe. Just one question and an observation... First, did you have to make any mods to the drivetrain of the mini to tow it four down? I been thinking about buying one and would love to be able to tow it. Secondly, in looking at the tow setup, it appears from this angle that the height difference between the Motorhome end and the toad hook ups is more than a couple of inches. If it is, you may want to get a drop hitch for the motorhome end to try to level it out as much as possible.

Wish I could make the dash! It snowed this morning about 3" and turned to freezing rain about noon. Now it's just plain old rain and about 35 degrees. What a gross mess! Enjoy the nice weather!

Stevie, I agree that the bar needs to be leveled more. I need to find a place in my journey that sells them. All is fine though.
I have heard of many Minis being towed, as I asked around like you are now being I had my Mini to tow. All said just key on, neutral, and tow
. I already had a battery shut off switch as this is also my track day car, so I shut down the battery when towing.
Not a single issue so far, and the fact is that the suspension on this car is 100% race setup. I was really worried , but I am very pleased so far.I made my own tow bar receiver on the Mini. Hate the ones they sell.

I have a 4" drop on mine. I bought it online. Along with the drop hitch, I also purchased 2 de-rattlers because I have a Ready Brute Elite tow bar set up. I needed the de-rattlers to take the slop out between the receiver and the drop hitch and then the drop hitch and the tow bar. Thanks for the info on the mini.
