Mammoth Mountain, CA

I am going to head to california soon and while i am out there i wanna take a trip up to mammoth mountain for some snowboarding, but i was wondering if A) its okay to drive up there in the winter in an RV, and B) besides the few rv parks i found does anyone know if you can park up near the lifts like in any lodge parking lots or something for free? thanks!

You can call Mammoth RV park to get the road conditions. I have never had a problem getting into Mammoth. You can park at the lifts if you can find a spot and your RV isn't to big. There are no campgrounds between Mammoth and the resort and parking on the side of the road is risky because of the plows if needed. Mammoth RV park is expensive so if you don't need hookups see if Shady Rest campground is open across the street, it is 1/3rd the cost.

Have fun!
