MARSHALL, TX RV Parks?
Planning an easter weekend trip to Marshall TX to meet with my dear Uncle and Aunt whom I haven't seen since my Mother passed in 2008.
They will be returning to Missouri from their winterbirding in South Texas and will break the trip in Marshall and I'm going to go over with DC Tina to see them so we'll meet up at a park in or near Marshall.
Any comments/ideas on MARSHALL TEXAS rv parks?

We stopped at Country Pines for one night this spring. I will look for other options if I am in the area again. It is open enough, a little hilly, and lots of trees. The facilities are old, and need of a lot of upgrading. The worker/manager is a nice enough guy. We could not get our satellite to connect do to trees. At check in ask about that and local TV, and was told local TV was good if your satellite won't connect. Well, it didn't connect, the mgr came over and made a few suggestions as to how to make it function, all of which I had done. He pointed to his little trailer, and on the back was a big square VHF/ digital antenna. ( we had dinner and went to a movie ) There were only a few others at the park and they were long term

I wonder if I could get my Aunt and Uncle (I call him Uncle Warbucks-because he has his first dollar ever earned....  ) to go 40 miles to the east of Marshall to Shreveport.....

Kent why were you thinking about Marshall Google Martin creek state park about 20 miles from there been there several times

Been to Caddo Lake State Park several times. Secluded and scenic with all the swamp and cypress. Sites tend to be short, except for the pull thrus.

Whem, Marshall is because that's where my Uncle said he'd see me/us and that's where he would stay.
Will have to ask him about alternatives.

They are coming up on Hwy 59 and Uncle Warbucks doesn't want to veer off his route that far...unless I can talk him in to something off of I-20 say, Shreveport or so.

Yes, and he doesn't want to stray off Hwy 59 if at all possible. There are two parks south of I-20 south of Marshall that I found.

One on 259 maybe 4 miles south of Henderson when you would leave the new 259 takes you to Longview
