Here we are again asking for campground advice! Looking at the Atlanta South RV Resort in McGonough, GA. Want to be in close proximity to the acquarium. Has anyone been there? Any 'yeas'

or 'nays'

Yes have been there several times, but no more. Last time had to get permanent resident out of bed in the morning to move his truck, no room to pass between him and tree. He parked it half way in the exit road, you can imagine how happy he was about being awaken. Too many permanents and trees to be a good c/g. There are very few amnenities in the park. The road can be very dusty or in case of rain,a mud wallow. The owners are working on it, will take time. Suggest you read (campgroundreviews.com), for several recent reviews.

I do not have specific information about the camp ground you asked about but considering the first reply you got, you may want to look at another place.

Here is a post I did earlier about the aquarium and camping near-by.

Have fun, it is a great place.

Atlanta area CGs

Consider Red Top Mountain State Park North of Atlanta, Stone Mountain Park East of Atlantaand Fort Yargo State Park near Athens, Ga.

The Aquarium is in downtown Atlanta. Pricey but has been very well received.

WSB: Welcome South Brother!

jperry......Looks like Stone Mountain would be our best bet. Thanx for all your info. Looked into tickets to the acquarium but can only buy them three months in advance. We'll get them in June. Thanx again......
