Mesa Arizona

Thinking about spending a few weeks with our oldest daughter, they live in Mesa AZ.

Looking for some recommendations on RV Resorts there.

Would prefer to have a nice, spacious place to stay for a couple of weeks. Don't mind a little drive about a half hour or so would be alright.

We may have missed the window for this season may have to make it for the next.

Thanks

Quite a few empty slots in the park we are sitting. We are sitting in Goodyear at Cotton Lane. Not sure how far from Mesa as we are on the west side of Phoenix, 5 miles from the Reds/Indians spring training ballpark.

our first snowbird resort was Mesa Spirit RV Resort. we now winter at the Sun Life RV resort also in Mesa. Spacious is in the eye of the beholder. both of these parks are pretty typical of many resorts in the area....at least the dozen or so we have looked at. But we haven't looked at many parks outside of the Mesa/Apache Junction (AJ) part of the valley.

A really nice park that will have plenty of space is the Usery Mountain Regional Park. Water and electric (30/50) hookups and a dump station. No shade.

we haven't been in many AZ state or county parks but of those we've used have been uniformly excellent. lessee...Lake Havasu SP, Karchner Caverns SP and at least one other that has slipped what's left of my mind.

Sorry, I guess I'm confused. We are going to visit family in Mesa AZ.

What would be the benefit of staying 3.5 hours away in Havasu or 2.5 hours away in Karchner?

Try Gold Canyon parks Bout 5 minutes east of Mesa. Good parks, easy drive, close to Mesa market.

Looks like plenty of RV spots left in Mesa Spirit and Val Vista. Those are the only two I have been in lately. Mesa Spirit is just off Main Street between Lindsay and Val Vista and Val Vista is just north of Main on Val Vista.

We’re at Sunrise RV in Apache Junction. A neighboring city to Mesa. Lots of spaces open due to Covid, apparently. 1403 W. Broadway.

Goodyear to Mesa is 35 miles through heavy traffic one way.
