Michigan to Mt. Rushmore

We will be traveling from Petoskey, Mi ( Hearthside) to Mt. Rushmore. Looks like our major route will be 90. Any suggestions as to where to camp. We have a 44 ft MH and would like to do about 400 mile a day. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

From Petoskey, I'd go up and over, through the UP and down to I90.

Once in the Black Hills, we always recommend "the Rafter J Bar". Plenty of room for your big rig, nice people, and central to all of the Rushmore area parks and attractions.

Have a good time!

Yep. You can save a bunch of fuel by being a Yooper for a day. Enjoy!

We just spent a week in Big Pine campground in Custer, S.D. and loved the place. Close to Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Custer State Park. A winning trio if ever there was one. I can't say enough good things about Big Pine and the only negative was weak wifi in the back of the campground. Enjoy..

Blue Earth City fairground is a great free place to stop in MN. Exit 119.

You will also drive by the cornpalace in Mitchell SD. nice stop

Also the badlands and the minuteman missile site in SD
