We have been in the UP several times and will go back often.

If you visit in the first couple weeks in July, you could hit the Cherry Festival in Traverse City if you like.

We also LOVE Copper Harbor and consider it very much worth the extra driving and a week or more up there...

Too much in God's Country to see I fear.. but for sure take Beau's Advice.. There is a very nice state park at the lower falls, However depending on your RV I do not know if it will fit DNR - Department of Natural Resources for information.

The falls are lovely year around.. Kind of Golden in color, though a LONG walk from the state park.. Beau's suggestion gets you far closer but on the other end of the falls (Think left if you are facing from downriver) the island in the middle is private land,, Not developed however.. Nice and natural.> The boat ride was fun too.

Many other water falls, none as impressive, Other features, Lots of stuff to see.. I've not completed a tour of the UP, but have done about half.

Don't forget to gas up before Christmas.... oh, and Paradise.. You'll be glad you made it (just another small town but, hey, can't argue with the name)

Note 2.. No Hell in the UP. that's in the LOWER part of MI (Pinckney Recreation Area to be precise) Been there too.
