Mid West Trip this Spring / How early can you visit

We want to take a three week Mid West trip this spring.

I want to go as early as possible so as not to impact the racing season.

First race is May 8-9 and I will need a couple of weeks in front of that to prepare.

We would like to visit our son in Boulder in part of the trip.

What national parks will be open and weather not to cold that we could visit?

Up to now been using the Motor home for racing, would like to use it for sight seeing this time.

You'll find the latest information about all National Parks here: U.S. National Park Service - Experience Your America
April in the MidWest should be clear of slick roads N stuff, but there's always that freak storm possibility. The National Traffic and Road closure website may be useful for navigation purposes.

Thanks, not sure we will be able to fit the trip in before racing season.

Disappointing

For the future, check out the Colorado State Park, St. Vrain. It is close to Boulder. One loop has full hookups with beautiful view of the Rockies over Boulder. The park takes reservations on Reserve America.
