Minneapolis Bound

Heading for Minneapolis area (Minnetonka) to visit grandaughter & family. Any suggestions on campgrounds, Rv parks, State Parks or whatever?
40 foot MH with toad.

No specific CG suggestions; sorry.

But along US 12 west of Minn (nearish to Minnetonka) there is a VERY NICE county park with CG and a few older private parks out that way too

Between Maple Plain and Delano

But! the far more imporatant thing is to drive the toad down into St Paul and find Grand Avenue. The Creamery. yumm.

There is a good cigar store with smoke lounge about a block west of there too

Richard: Try Dakota Meadows RV Park, Prior Lake, MN. Part of Mystic Lake Casino and a GREAT park with excellent access to the Minnetonka by following 169 from Shakopee (just N. of the RV park) up to 494 (West) and there ya are!!. Just spent a number of weeks in Dakota Meadows visiting sister up in St. Louis Park area and access was very very convenient. Park rate was $30/day or $194/wk incl. tx, (must be up a bit now). Go on-line and look up dakotameadows.com (I think). If ya find the Mystic Lake Casino website you can also access RV park from there. You'll like it.

I third Mystic Lakes! Excellent park, great location. We have stayed there only once but we hope to return soon.

Another vote for Dakota Meadows in Prior Lake. Really nice facilities, clean, convenient location.

If you want lovely surroundings and access to everything in the city....look up Lebanon Hills Campground in Apple Valley. It only allows 14 day stays. Clean, well run, close to the zoo and near (but not on) the main arteries that go through and around the Twin Cities.
