Mobile AL Campgrounds
Will be spending a week near Mobile, AL in January to visit family and the campgrounds seem to present challenges. Everything from muddy, dirt, potholed roads with low trees to narrow, seasonal sites. We will be de-winterizing on the way down and redoing it on the way back to Michigan.
Can anyone help with suggestions for 37' DP and toad, weekly rates, and decent sites and neighborhoods.
Have not been in this area so am looking for areas to avoid or to gravitate to. I found ' All About Relaxing RV Resort | It's not just our name, it's who we are! All About Relaxing RV Park, which is only a year old in Theodore, AL. Another was near the airport, Shady Acres Campground Mobile Alabama Shady Acres Campground.
Thanks for the help.

We stayed at Shady Acres Campground for an overnight about a month ago. Good price (don't remember exactly how much, but ~30/night IIRC), pretty quiet as CG go these days: Shady Acres Campground Mobile Alabama. As far as length, we are at 58 feet, TV and 5er. There was a very large Class A next to us with a toad so the sites are big enough. Like so many other CGs, have lseasonals/workers, but it still was quiet and in a residential neighborhood.

Already have checked RVParkReviews and Google Earth to see the surounding areas. There are many others in the same radius of Mobile but some go down to a 2 rating.
After checking these two sources I like to find someone who has experience in an area that I'm not familiar with. I know the one in Theodore has only been open since the beginning of the year. Google Earth shows it under construction in 2015.
Shady Acres is very near the airport and did not know how that affected the stay.
Thanks for the input as it always helps.

Stayed at All About Relaxing last spring. Great place. Spotless facilities, lots of personal touches, very friendly and helpful owners. Plenty of room for a 40 footer and toad. Location a little outside of Mobile, but in a quiet setting with shopping close by. We will stay there again.
The entrance driveway was a little steep, be sure to take it at an angle to make sure you don't scrape. They have plans to make the entrance a whole lot better but don't know where that project is.

I think we will be making the reservation at All About Relaxing. There is also an Enterprise Car Rental just down the street near I-10 and we will not need to bring the toad. Can stop and get the rental on the way in.
Can always cancel if things really change but it is hard to get a spot if you are late coming to the party.
Thanks everyone for the tips.

Sorry; I am late coming to this thread. But we are staying at a very good resort in Elberta AL which is about 40 mins away from Mobile. The resort is called Lake Osprey, off of county road 95 and US 89. They have daily, weekly and monthly rates, they might still have a site open still if you check. All of the sites have full hook-ups with cable TV, long cement pads and lots of amenities.

Thanks, I will look into it. My son works in Mobile and have g'kids in Gulfport so want to stay near the middle somewhere.
