We are planning to go to Asheville to see Biltmore in the next couple of weeks. The website states that the last 5 miles are curvy. As newbies what is the road there like? Is it only narrow/ticky that stretch or is it that way most of the way up? Does the side of the road have a steep dropoff (one family member is very height phobic)?
thanks,
Chrisitna

The campground is on NC 80 and if you come to it from the south from Marion the road isn't bad at all. I think the 5 miles they are referring to is if you come to it off of the Blue Ridge Parkway which would be approaching the campground from the north.

From that direction, the road is steep with lots of switchbacks.
