Mountain View, AR to Denver

Hi everyone. We are brand new RV owners. We are headed from Mountain View, Ar the beginning of July to a wedding in Evergreen, CO.

We have a 22' travel trailer we are pulling.

1. Is there anything we need to know about/avoid on our route?

2. Any recommendations for where to stay? We were looking at the Frisco/Breckenridge/Silverthorne area. But are open to any suggestions. We will be spending the night in the "wedding" hotel the night of the wedding so we do not need the location to be near Evergreen.

Thank you for your help.

Tiger Run in Breckenridge or the parks on Dillion reservoir are about the only places. Tiger is an excellent place, but very expensive.

Here's a site that has descriptions of camping options near Frisco.

https://www.townoffrisco.com/play/camping/

Most of the sites in campgrounds around the reservoir are dry camping, with no showers or dump station. There are only a few with electric hookups.

And be aware that sites on weekends near Denver are often fully booked up well in advance, and I assume your stay will include a weekend if it's for a wedding.

I prefer to travel without reservations, but in Colorado in the summer, even I would reserve a spot. Pine Cove Campground is stripes in a parking lot. It doesn't take reservations, but I'm not sure I'd risk it on a July weekend.

I did some poking around and Peak One and Heaton Bay are full on weekends, but Lowry Campground, on the east side of the reservoir, has a few electric sites available on weekends in July (except July 4, of course). I've never stayed there, but if I needed to be in the area on a certain date, I'd snap up whatever I could get.

Here are 29 places around Frisco. With your small RV you could use many national forest campgrounds.
They're beautiful! As far as your drive from Arkansas - no issues.
