Yes, you can't paint all the KOAs with the same brush. However, we have stayed at about 20 different KOAs. First, we have two kids, 9 & 11 years old. So we gladly pay the upcharges for the amenities involved for our kids. It might be different if it was just the two of us with no need for the kid stuff. In general, for the extra money we are usually assured of a kid friendly clean campground- with a few exceptions, which one takes in stride.
We would be very appreciative of an active management that enforces quiet time. Many of our fellow campers are overnighters that are just looking for a peaceful nights sleep along their journey.
Some of the great KOAs that we return to often on a yearly basis- Mt. Rushmore KOA (the best), one in Wyoming (?Buffalo) was awesome, the Nashville KOA is exceptional. We will pass on the one in Cordele, GA---but so be it. All in all, we will take our chances with KOA for our kids....

KOA
We stayed at the KOA in medford, first the price? It wss 30 bucks not bad the place was old looking but very clean and like EVERY ONE else like a quiet time at night. We joined there discount program for 27 dollars and that lowered our price to 14 dollars. We will go back and I cant wait to go to KOA South Dakota.

Gotta say there are folks on here that are missing their calling. Most could be comedy writers and apparently the original OP could write fiction.

I agree on the OP-- his post was pure fiction-- but I'm not sure what you mean about most if the others being comedy writers. Could you speak your mind plainly, Ben?

We stayed for several days at the Mt. Rushmore KOA in a tent trailer during the 50th Sturgis rally in 1990 and we had no problem getting a good night's sleep. You're right, they were the best! Great campground!

JFXG - some of the posts make me smile. Post like 46,47,48 and my favorite #34. #34 was GREAT!!
Didn't mean to offend anyone, just a personal comment. I am an old solider who never liked a representation of fiction as truth - otherwise known as a bold face lie. But in 22 years of service, I also learned to smile when the opportunity presented itself.
