Multi day parking in Anacortes or Port Angeles

We are in NW Washington and want to visit Vancouver Island for a few days. We will take the toad on the ferry and tent camping on the island. What are my options for parking our 40 ft MH safely for 2 or 3 nights?

We can go out of either Anacortes or Port Angeles. Is there secure overnight RV parking at the ferrys? I've read that people use the Port Angeles Walmart but that makes me nervous.

Thanks!

You might just want to rent a RV site for 2-3 nights.

Friends from CA. did this last month, needed power because they full time and have a freezer to keep running, they had to rent a site because of the need for power.
But the security, factor helped them justify the cost.
After Labor Day rates could drop considerably, were you planning this month or next ?

We could rent an rv space but seems kinda steep for not being there to use it. We have plenty of solar power so plugging in isn't an issue. We are flexible so maybe we'll wait until after labor day and get a lower rate on a paid site.

Thanks

Just a thought..... there's a Camping World in Burlington, WA which isn't too far from Anacortes. They let you park overnight for free (not sure if you have to be a Good Sam Member to do it though). Might be an option if you're only needing a couple of days.

We are a Good Sam member. That's a great idea. I'll call and ask. Thanks.

As a follow up... We called Camping World in Burlington and they said 'no problem'. They didn't even ask if we were Good Sam members. We parked the rig there for 3 nights and even had 30 amp service to plug into (have solar so didn't need it). Thank you very much CW and thanks Skip426 for the suggestion.

Glad it all worked out for you. I'll definitely keep this idea in the back of my mind if we need to find someplace to park the rig while we go off exploring in the toad.
Wasn't sure if CW would allow it, so thanks for the followup to let us know!
