My recent camping trip to Glacier National Park

Took my Meriwether out for a short 3 days trip to Glacier National Park 2 weeks ago.

Had Lunch at Gunsight Bar and Grill. The food is pretty decent. I especially liked the onion rings.

Headed out to Polebridge Mercantile. What a fun place! It’s not too far from West Glacier and it’s on the way to the Canadian border. The bakery sells souvenirs and drinks as well as the pastries. We tried the huckleberry bear claw and it was delicious! The whole area was super cute and straight out of a time long gone by. I enjoyed the bear claw and sodas in a sitting area at the entrance.

Next was driving up to Kintla Lake. Beautiful sight and the water is so clear.

Drove through all of Going to the Sun Road. Saw a black bear crossing the road as well.

Saint Mary Lake is gorgeous as well.

Day 2 was much more relaxed for me. Headed to Bowman Lake.

Set up my Lazy Monk camping hammock and just chill for the day.

Day 3 was me spending the day at Lake Mcdonald at the beach closest to Apgar Village. Had breakfast at Bojangles Diner a retro diner and their Chicken Fried Steak is delicious.

Glacier National Park is stunning. There are diverse wildlife like goats and grizzly bears. The Going to the Sun Road was an amazing drive for me.

We've been to Glaceir NP several times. It is one of our favorite places. I tell people is like being in the Alps, only the people speak English.

We went to Glacier (west end of park up to the pass) and it was incredible. If I'm lucky, we'll get back to that area again. Next major trip westward will be to Utah but I'd rather do it after the Covid situation is under control.

Thanks for the report, catpepper. We did Grand Teton last year, but didn't get as far north as Glacier NP. It's certainly on our list, as is returning to Grand Teton!

We were there last week. Other than one idiot in a older 35-37’ Class A almost to Logan Pass where a Ranger had it stopped everything else went smoothly. Knew the road was closed on the East side but the turnaround was just after St Mary’s Lake.
