Myrtle Beach
Hi:
Looking for a good campground and advise about Myrtle Beach. We have a class B but would like a campground that makes Myrtle Beach shows, restaurants, and other attractions convenient. Looking to be there in early July and it would be after the 4th. Plan to stay for 4 nights.
Thanks for any advise.

we just got back from North Myrtle beach. We stayed at a very nice camp ground "North Myrtle Beach RV resort and dry dock."
About 15 mIles from Myrtle beach.

See your other post on the same topic. But.... Myrtle Beach State Park. Great beach, shady spots, close enough to all the things you could possibly want to do.

We like to stay at Ocean Lakes RV Resort. Lots to do at the Resort but close to all the Shows and activities in MB.
We also like Lakewood Resort right up the street. Pirate Land is really good if you have young children.
For quite and relaxation Myrtle Beach State Park or Huntington State Park is very nice.
We have not stayed at The Myrtle Beach Resort in N. Myrtle Beach but I have heard very good things about it.
Go to Youtube and pull up the Campgrounds, They give tours of the Campgrounds and you can actually see what you would be getting.

Mighty close to the 4th to be making reservations at Myrtle Beach. Hope you are able to find a spot. We have reservations for the 4th down the SC coast in Charleston that were made 2 months ago and were fortunate to get them even then.

Ocean Lakes is my favorite. Way better than Pirateland in my opinion even for kids. Ocean Lakes just built a new water park that is really nice. My kids love it!

Agreed. Reservations will be a challenge, but Ocean Lakes is an awesome place IMO.

Myrtle Beach
Briarcliff RV Resort...on Highway 17 ... on the ICW ... within 2 miles of Tanger Outlets, BassPro, Barefoot Landing (Alabama Theatre), & Carolina Opry. Lots of restaurants within same distance.
Ocean Lakes...kids on golf carts without Adult supervision
Check Out Martini's restaurant for great steaks...make a reservation (a must).
You will be visiting during one of the busiest weeks of the year for Myrtle Beach

Good luck on the state parks even if you were asking in March. Myrtle Beach SP is the most centrally located campground. From there you might consider Cypress Camping Resort. It has very easy access into Myrtle Beach. The new Sun park near Conway or the NMB RV Resort and dry dock are good options. As many times as I've driven by if forgot about Briarcliff it is a really good option. I doubt you'll find much room in any of the ocean front resorts, plus this time of year some are as much as $100 a night or more.

At this point, your best bet will likely be one of the RV parks that are not directly in MB or near the ocean. Myrtle Beach RV Resort and Dry Dock is in Little River and they may have a site during that time.
Willow Tree in Longs is very nice but it is a 20 - 25 minute drive to North Myrtle Beach from their location.
