Myrtle Beach park

Hello all!
My wife and I are thinking to take our first rv trip with our 25' class A Giorgie Boy to Myrtle Beach to meet up with some family in June, we know there are a lot of parks there we wanted to get some tips on maybe some good ones since we are very new at this!

Some like quiet and some like mayhem, myrtle beach has both. What are you looking for?

We stayed at the KOA across the highway. It was quiet for the one night.

IRV2 held its rally for 2019 in Myrtle Beach. We stayed at Ocean Lakes campground. The accommodations were excellent. The park is huge and there’s lots to do there.

Once upon a time I lived in Myrtle Beach. There was nothing quiet about the place once the tourists got there. If you want quiet, I would suggest you visit in November.

You can take a look at Willow Tree which is about 20 minutes inland from North Myrtle Beach. Large sites and very nice place.

There is a North Myrtle Beach RV Park and Boat dry dock,a fairly new park on the west side of the intercoastal waterway and several have mentioned the new Carolina Pines near Conway (about a 15 minute drive to the beach.

Further south are the two ocean front state parks; Myrtle Beach SP is busier and you get the noise from the airport and Huntington Beach State Park, nicely situated across from Brookgreen Gardens.

There are the big older ocean front parks, most with modern amenities: Pirateland, Ocean Lakes, Lakewood, Myrtle Beach Travel Park, and Apache Family Park. There are several others I'm missing.

We enjoyed Myrtle Beach Travel Park. It seemed smaller and more quiet than the other beach front parks.

Myrtle Beach State Park is nice and close to everything. It fills up fast especially on the weekends so book way early. North Myrtle Beach RV resort is new and right on the Intracoastal Waterway. May want to check that out

Might want to call around at this late in the game.

Ditto on Ocean Lakes. We attended the 2019 rally, this park has everything. Hope to return in November.

We like Pirate Land. Most every spot close to the ocean comes with a covered picnic table and Sites are spaced out nicely. Depends on the time of year for peace and quiet. Never too loud at anytime just lots of folks :-)
