Afewtogo-
RV site availability will be iffy for this year because of the damage from Hurricane Ian. Some parks were damaged; for others, the parks will cater to the displaced and the repair crews.
That said, try Seminole Campground in North Fort Myers or Sanctuary RV Resort in Bonita Springs. When I camped there in 2019, Seminole's policy was to hold a few sites for short-timers.
On another topic, you should add a "signature" to your profile. It contains whatever info you want; most people put info about their coach there, so they don't have to type it into each message. Instructions for adding a signature are here.

It might be impossible for another year. We just had a major Hurricane named Ian. We have contractors of every type from all parts of the country here for the next 2 years doing restorations. Many of them have brought or leased RV's and put them in parks as so many of the rental properties were damaged.
This is not a fun place to be right now, traffic is a nightmare. . https://www.winknews.com/2022/11/01/...fter-hurricane

I have to check with my 3 day stop over in Ft. Meyer in late January, On my way to the Panhandle. I’m only doing a week in the Keys.

Just had our week's stay in the Keys cancel on us. From there, we're headed to Ft Myers for another short stay. Everything we're hearing, except for some on here, is "business as usual, come ahead."
Considering canceling Ft Myers & moving further North, for the entire 2 weeks.
Of course, Ft Myers is paid in full & non-refundable.

I will qualify that statement (as a resident of Fort Myers).
Your CG MAY (check with them) be open. The further inland, the less the damage as a general rule. Fuel, groceries, etc are open.
Beaches are closed, many tourist things are not open (Edison Ford Museum just reopened). Much of downtown Fort Myers was flooded by the 10' storm surge, so may be awhile before everything is back 100%.
Lots of traffic from debris pickup, roofers, infrastructure repairs, etc.

Does anyone have any info on condition at Cypress Trail?
I have a short stay Reserved there early next year. Have wondered how they faired but felt it best to not bother them short-term at least until area gets past the initial clean up.

Just as a FWIW:
We (the extended family) had two small houses and three high-rise condos in Bonita Springs reserved for March. Yesterday, the owners of all sent out notices that basically say, the houses are kaput, and the condos will still be uninhabitable in March.
So I'm thinking there are going to be few great options in that area this year.

We have 4 nights reserved at Koreshan SP near Estero starting 12 DEC. Talked to the park and they say it is "iffy". They are waiting on parts for the dump station that got "blown out" and still have some trees to clean up. We plan on doing a bit of volunteer work while there if it all works out.

Before Hurricane Ian, it was already pretty difficult, almost impossible, to get a 5-7 night reservation in the Fort Myers/Naples area for January, February, March. Almost all the state parks are booked up way in advance. almost all of the campgrounds want a minimum stay of ONE month, many require a few months. Now with all the damage from Hurricane Ian, it will be even harder. February 2021, we stayed 9 days at Cypress Trail. Someone mentioned that it was the last RV park/campground that Lee County allowed to be built "Lee County decided that they had enough campgrounds and were not going to allow any more". February 2022, we had to stay at an RV Resort in LaBelle, FL about an hour east of Fort Myers. March 2022, I called Cypress Trails about reservations for 7-10 days and they said "we are all booked up a year in advance, call back in the Fall (2022) to book for February 2024. First week of April 2022, I started looking for reservations for February 2023. We'll be back in LaBelle up the river from Fort Myers.
The thing is, we may cancel the trip, due to family members being flooded out in Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach. Red Coconuts RV Park on Fort Myers Beach was wiped out. They say the will reopen, but their entire infrastructure was flooded.
