Nashville Best RV Park For Easy Access & Secured
Can you fine folks based on your experiences, please share where would be the best place to locate ourselves (37ft A Class), bearing in mind we don't tow a car, but would gladly walk to and around (within reasonable distances - good up to 9 miles a day "if" we have to), catch affordable shuttles if available outside or Uber if not too expensive to what we'd like to see in Nashville. Facilities at the RV Park are not of interest to us, as it's just a "rest our head" base for a couple/three nights to get a small flavour of Nashville ambience. Security, safety and easy access to the following are our highest priorities:
The District area
Music City Walk Of Fame
Riverfront Park,
“What Lifts You Wings Statue” (this area of DT explore bit)
Marathon Village
If there's anything else you think we "shouldn't miss", we are not really into paid themed attractions. From here we are going to J Percy Priest Lake for some relaxation and bank/pier fishing, so if you have any suggestions where to locate ourselves around that lake we'd really appreciate it for ease to good fishing locations. We are totally off grid independent so don't need hookups.
Thanks in anticipation for your input.
STBFT
PS: Hope I've put this in the right category as with so many sections and sub sections struggled to ascertain where I should start thread

Try the Nashville KOA. There is a shuttle you can get there. Matter of fact we are leaving Friday and will be at the KOA on Saturday for 4 days. Then on to Galveston for 6 weeks.

Nashville Best RV Park For Easy Access & Secured
I’ll second the Nashville KOA. Stayed there a couple night about 2 years ago, very nice CG. You’ll want to take the shuttle or ride share service to downtown. More then enough to see and be sure to take your walking shoes. Enjoy and safe travels!

Thanks so much for that feedback from you both. I was tempted with the Graceland RV park initially but good to know you both recommend the KOA.
Any others and or feedback on J Percy Priest Lake location for shore fishing much appreciated.

We stayed further out at Bledsoe Creek State Park. Little further out but it was worth it. Beautiful little campground. We were on Deer Run Road with a decent view of the lake.
Deer came right up to the camper. If you sit out in the morning they will get within 15 feet of you if you sit quietly.
Staff was excellent, We made the decision to leave a day early. Stopped to let them know we were going and the offered to refund that day even though I didn't really care about it.
The pull-through site we had was huge. I could easily park on either end of my fifth wheel

We stayed at the KOA back in December and it was perfect! Shuttle into Nashville, Opryland and a Camping World almost next door. ( just in case)
Nashville is awesome

How far is the KOA from the Titans stadium?

We stayed at the KOA and enjoyed it. We also took a comedy tour of the city. Nice little tour. Picked us up at the KOA and brought us back.

The KOA, Jellystone and a local campground are all lined up along Music City drive. Amenities and prices vary but shuttle service does not. You will want shuttles to the location centers. We stayed at Jellystone partly because the KOA was full and partly over price. Given a choice the middle private one has live music at times and maybe cheaper sites. They were filling up first when we were going there.

Music Valley Drive has three campgrounds just down from the Grand Ole Opry. If you have never been, I would recommend the live radio program at the Opry which is held every Friday and Saturday night. Touring the Opry hotel is a must as well and it is adjacent to the Theatre. Also on the Opry grounds is the General Jackson Showboat where you can take a lunch or dinner cruise on a 275’ paddle wheel boat down the Cumberland River.
Downtown, between 2nd and 5th Avenue on Broadway there are many places to visit. If you want to see where Country music lives, you would need to travel to 16th and 17th Avenue off of Broadway. You could also tour RCA studios where Elvis recorded.
We have stayed at safe harbor rv resort on Percy Priest Lake. Our lot was on the far end of the peninsula on the North side. This allows for fishing off the shore. This a beautiful lake. If interested, there is a marina just north of the campground. We rented a boat for the day to fish and see the lake; very enjoyable. Hope you have a great trip.

Isn't Graceland RV Park in Memphis?
Stayed there before, nice park.
We are booked into Two Rivers Campground Nashville in March 2018.
Very friendly staff on the phone when booking and there is a shuttle available.
