Montgomery Bell State Park. It about 30 miles west of Nashville.
Defeated Creek - COE campground about an hour east . Very Nice.

Since I live near Nashville I have never needed to camp in Nashville.

As resorts go, the Nashville KOA on Music Valley Drive is near the top of the list. They have done a lot of upgrades over the last few years, and they are served by Nashville tour busses. I stop there twice a year on my snowbird route, and sometimes stay for a day or two to have fun in Nashville.

I 2nd the KOA recommendation- stayed last March for 6 days and found it very nice. Quiet, nice folks and clean facility. We opted to drive Jeep into city and down the street to Opry but others said shuttle was good. Just avoid the rush hour and the ~1/2 hour drive into music row is not bad at all.

Hate to beat a dead horse, But I 3rd the KOA. Very nice, close to the Opry and Opryland hotel which is nice to go through the gardens. Quick drive to Broadway (watch for Parking $$$$!), also a Camping World next door with a good stocked store if you need anything.

FYI. Music Row and Broadway are not the same thing.

Not yours. MCRV's. Before I moved to Nashville I used to think they were one and the same but quickly learned they weren't.

If you don't mind adding twenty minutes to the drive from the KOA, Montgomery Bell is a good choice. Especially if you golf. And driving in from the west is eaier than from the east. IMHO.

Safe Harbor RV resort was very nice and well kept. Located on a lake. If you get a spot on the East side of the peninsula it is beautiful. It's not too far from downtown.

Chiming in to say the KOA is vastly superior to Two Rivers, should you remotely think of the latter (Don't!). No breakers at most sites (they are on a board somewhere some distance from the sites), backed up to a 24 hour bus garage, lots of water and mud when it rains....
