The plant is in Alabama but the painting and final touches are done in Mississippi.
Rumor has it, that is has something to do with less EPA restrictions in MS. But I can't confirm that

I have made the trace from Natchez Miss. to Florence Ala. It was GREAT. Stopped at sites along the way and talked to Park Rangers who gave tours which was very interesting. Pulled off Parkway and visited small towns for fuel and some of the best Southern Cooking I ever had. La-Z-Boy have good Friend From Florence Ala who has Uncle and Aunt buried in the grave yard at Pick Wick Dam - The river is a Beautiful River.

Nope, just happened to be a huge mobile home plant in Belmont sitting empty and since Belmont and RedBay are only a few miles apart , it just made sense. Their paint facility is state of the art, it shouldn't have any EPA issues anywhere. You can't even smell paint when you drive by it. Just to add for the route to Tunica, going up 78, take the exit before 305 Goodman rd. Not sure of the number but you will turn back under 78 and go half a mile and turn right on Church rd and it runs directly into the hwy 61 4 lane. A quarter of the traffic and a tenth of the stop lights.

We traveled the Trace south to north and thoroughly enjoyed the leisurely pace. There are three free NPS campgrounds along the Trace as well as a number of other public campgrounds nearby. Here's a report on our trip, which includes links to the campgrounds at which we stayed.

Relax and enjoy!

Piney Grove Campsite on Bay Springs Lake

If you are traveling on the Natchez Trace Parkway or stopping to see the plant in Red Bay, AL, the place to camp is Piney Grove. It is a wonderful campground located minutes from both locations. Look it up on RV Park Reviews - New Site, MS.

Thanks for the info. Good to know, as our rv will be ready in Red Bay late May, June, and we will probably want to spend the night on the way hime.
