National Forest camping

We typically go camping in the Tonto National Forest campgrounds in Arizona when they first open. We like having most of the campground to ourselves and we enjoy the cool and clean air of the Arizona mountains but when we called to verify that the campground would open as scheduled April 1 we were told by the Ranger office that all of the Tonto National Forest campgrounds would be closed until further notice.

I don't know if this is true for all National Forest campgrounds or for BLM land but I thought it might help if I mentioned it.

Coconino is closed too, but I thought it might just be because of wet roads.
