That what I do. I have found that I can make a 1000 miles a day in the MH assuming good weather and no major traffic delays. I stop every 200 miles and at least put my feet up for 15 minutes.

When you are heading for Iowa do not go through Chicago.

We may take a ”minor” detour to MA & CT so might have to pass through Chicago area.

Sure hope diesel prices drop by summer!

Do you have an ezpass?

Have not done the Northeast since my navy days. Steak and lobster cooked over an open campfire. Good times!

Last time we went through Chicago by car planned on getting there at 7pm. Forgot about the time change. Hit downtown at 6pm. Still there at 7pm.

Last I did not go through Chicago was going counter clockwise around the US including NYC. Sitting in the MH on the Indiana toll rd checking my ezpass balance for a MH with a TOAD.

Took the next exit and headed for the Michigan UP. Lots of waterfalls.

I was in a touristy town and asked the cop, where can I park with a trailer? There is very limited parking for anything big. He said just park on a neighborhood street, but try to not be directly in front of a house.
You post seems to be about where to stay for free at night?

Yes we have an EZ Pass. Lived in CT and MA for 20+ years.

Not worried or looking for a spot to stay much less than 24 hours. Those I wing it. More looking for the interesting spots along the route while we stop for 2 to 3 days to dump & refill tanks while running the washer and dryer onboard.
