Cool Need a Spot Outside of Cody for a Week or Booddocking Locations

headed there mid July, looking for a reasonable weekly rate.

I can be 30 minutes away don't need to be close to the town.

Suggestions

Green creek inn. It's in Wapiti valley half way between Cody and the park. We have owned a house her for over 20 years.

There are quite a few forest service campgrounds toward the east gate of Yellowstone. We haven't stayed at any but drove through a few and our 40' would fit in some. Along the same highway are a few nice RV parks away from the congestion of Cody and they have nice views. Yellowstone Edge is one of them. Look at RVParkReviews under Cody to give you some ideas. Be sure to go to the Cody Museum. We normally don't do museums but this one is awesome. Have a good trip!

I can't remember the rates but Buffalo Bill State park is just west of Cody. There are 2 campgrounds. One is closer to Cody and right on the lake between the road & water. The other is at the west end where the river is. We stayed at the west end campground. There are both no hook ups & hook ups.

Absaroka RV Park on the east side. In season you are likely to be offered home grown tomatoes or later in the season a pumpkin. Full hook-ups, easy in and out. Rates are reasonable.
