My sister lives in Rogers, AR, right next door to Bentonville and we visit there a lot. The NW AR area is like visiting Los Angeles, not a lot of rv parks. We usually stay at the Corps of Engineer Park just east of Rogers, Prairie Creek. It's on Beaver Lake and only about 2 miles out of Rogers, about 5 to 6 miles from Bentonville. There are sites really close to lakeside, HOWEVER, if you have a big rig stay in sites 73-79 ONLY. There are other sites that are long enough but the park is hilly, some turns are tight, you have to back uphill. Trust me, only stay in 73-79, which are water & elec sites, with dump onsite. There's another park that's close to Springdale, Cave Springs, I think. We haven't stayed there but have driven by. Be sure to visit the Crystal Bridges museum, beautiful!

With the amount of money that we rv'ers spend in Walmarts, you would think they would put in a really nice FREE rv park in Bentonville. Just so we could stop by and see how some of our money is being spent. LOL

We live in NWA , Bella Vista which is north of Bentonville , Horseshoe Bend is east of Rogers, it's a core park , Hickory Creek is east of Lowell, there is an RV park on clear creek golf course in cave springs, and RV park east of Springdale on 412 East it's Pilgrim Rest, and you can always go north into Missouri and stay in Roaring River Park.
I agree with your statement Walmart should have one built. NWA is headquarters for Walmart , Tyson , JB Hunt transportation , Willis Shaw, Pam Transportation.

Since we live by Rogers, I'll throw in a penny... I'd prefer Horseshoe Bend COE over Prarie Creek,,, mainly because the roads and sites are fairly level... Beaver Lake is nice,,, the road out there is nice and paved, although a little curvey,, no biggy for whatever size rv you have. "maybe" 15 minutes east of Rogers . Get's pretty busy on Holiday weekends... Sites in the trees, on the lake,, etc.... Monkey

I agree with the other posters that Horseshoe Bend is a good park but it's that much further from Bentonville and yes, on a 2 lane curvy, hilly road. Too far out of town for me.
