I've been hosting my church's annual family camp-out for the last 6 years. Every year, it gets more and more difficult finding a park that will accommodate our large group. Even as a Thousand Trails member I am limited.
Does anyone know of a good campground, state or private, that can provide a group camping area for 80+ people within two hours of Los Angeles? Thanks.

Have you considered Buellton, north on Hwy 101? Flying Flags RV Park & Campground there is very nice and will cater to large groups making advance reservations.

Flying Flags is great. We go there many times a year. Two others for consideration are Far West Resort in Santa Paula although your group may be too large for them and Wine Country RV Resort in Paso Robles which is a little farther than you specified but is a great place with very nice folks running it. I don't recommend Ventura RV park because of the freeway noise and the attitude of the operators.

Thank you Paul and Dale. I have bookmarked Flying Flags, and I will definitely keep them in mind when planning next year's event.

Flying Flags is great. We have stayed there many times and our camping group goes there at least twice a year. They are LARGE and can accomodate very large groups. They have 50AMP and WiFi.
Another place that is nice is Far West Resorts outside of Santa Paula. This is a smaller place and only has 30 Amp service, but the setting is much nicer (in the country, wooded, etc.). Our camping group usually gets there at least once or twice a year.
