Need Suggestion for RV Spot near Tuscon

We are hoping to stay near Tuscon for ~ 2 weeks in the middle of March. I realize this is the busy season, and we may be to late to get a spot at a lot of places, but still looking for recommendations. We do have a dog also. Been reading reviews on different spots and they are all over the board it seems like.

We really like Cochise terrace resort in Benson, just south of Tucson (18 miles).

Do you want a Plain Jane or one that offers a lot of activities? Catalina State Park also has a very nice campground and the perfect place to be if you're a hiker. Do you want in Tucson or within 50 miles?

Catalina State Park
Voyager for every activity you can think of including pickleball and tennis
Rincon Country West
De Anza in Amado - 20 mi. south
Benson has Butterfield & Cochise Terrace - about 40 mi. east
Pima County Fairground in Tucson is reasonable
Lazydays KOA

maybe there’s more than one but the Cochise Terrace RV Resort we have used (now named the CT RV Resort) is off I-10 in Benson, AZ. Benson is about 40-mi east of Tucson.

Come March the snowbirds are leaving . In town, the Voyager is a nice place as is the KOA behind the Lazydays RV dealership. Rincon Country East and West are nice parks. A very basic but nice park is the Pima County Fairgrounds but the FMCA is having a huge rally there in March. Catalina state park north of Tucson, on the other side of the mountain, is always a favorite.

The Escapees have a Co-Op in Benson. If you are not a member of the Escapees RV Club you can join for $39.

Thanks both of you. After calling a few and looking at their web sites, we choose Cochise Terrace RV Resort.

We’re at Voyager for the winter leaving 3/1. My guess is that after the gem show this place will clear out. When we got here (Dec. 1) the pull-through spots were almost empty And have gradually filled. I don’t think it’s the cheapest stay you could have in town but has everything you might need.
