Just for chuckles I checked John Pennekamp in Key Largo for next May. They showed one opening for one night in the entire month. Up until maybe 2 years ago, it wasn't that difficult to get a site there during the summer, without having to reserve months in advance. Those days are long gone, since they're booked way in advance all year round.
