New Galveston RV Park

Flying over west Galveston and note there is a new RV park being developed, anyone know any details?

It is about a 1/4 mile east of Stella Mare on Seawall Drive where it turns into San Luis Pass.

Not sure but, we will be at Stella Mare next week starting on the 25th. We will go over and see what we can find out and report back.

Through some digging on the internet I found out it is being developed by Lamson Nguyen Construction, but nothing about name or anticipated opening date. A couple other articles about upset neighbors from the property next to it regarding spoiled bird habitat.

Have not stopped yet, I have been busy doing driving lessons, but driven by it and looked in. They are still using heavy equipment, no pavement yet for the roads, looked like gravel so far for sites, no concrete poured yet.

And no boat launch to the bay, it is landlocked like Stella Mare. The park is caddy-cornered from Della Mare across the street. I will try to go sometime today after work and see if I can talk to somebody.

I am a newbie and interested in any sites in Galveston, new or old. I grew up going down there with my parents and have been there a lot and love visiting. Thanks for posting it.

It appears to be across the highway from Dellanara RV Park. Maybe they’re expanding so you can choose to stay on the gulf side or the bay side. . . . But I’m just speculating.

The DW and I find ourselves at Dellanara a couple of times a year. Good to see more options going in.

Good point. I wouldn't be there either. . . probably move down to Rockport. We've stayed in Goose Island State Park Site 155 is our favorite. Love those trees! They have beach camping, also but we like the treed campground.

From what I observed, it looks like the sites will be gravel. Some palm trees have already been planted; they have numerous others waiting to go into the ground.
They do have the property to run an exit out the back of the park, to the road behind Stella Mare. The building for their office is still not finished, roads are not finished. Electric to sites is not finished.
You can walk in the park next door and see what they are doing, this is what I did to see the park.
