New NC State park Campground

North Carolina has had a program in place to either replace or add camping facilities in some of its state parks. We were in Gorges State Park two weeks ago. All concrete pads with full hook-ups. Bathrooms all new and spotless. Reservations are through Reserve America. With senior discount it is about $30 a night and about $200 for the week.
The sites on the two cul-de-sacs are very private you cannot see your neighbors . We were in the site circled in red

Thanks for the update Rick. I didn’t know we were spending money on any State Parks except around Raleigh.

They really did a nice job upgrading that campground. OH started upgrading park sites a while ago, but they aren't putting in the nice concrete pads.

They also added full hookup RV camping to Goose Creek SP (near Washington NC). The camp hosts said that several more parks are planned to get the same upgrades. Nice to see NC giving us Rv’ers some love for a change.
