New York RV Parks
We will be traveling to NY next month and are having trouble finding RV parks there. Any info would be great. We want to see the sights and not drive too far from the RVPark. Thanks

Hi Manjammy we stayed at a state park just south of the finger lakes about 5 km outside Ithaca on lake cayuga. Here is the parks link. We loved the place and highly recommend it. Check out all the water falls while you are there.

I assume you mean New York City, There is really only one close to the city and it is a W/E only paved parking lot. But it is convenient. Liberty Harbor RV Park
About an hour north is a full service campground - Hudson River Valley Camping | Newburgh New York | New York Camping
You will get some other suggestions, but coming from the west these have pretty easy access.

Croton-on-Hudson Park is a great place to stay. There is no need to drive to the city. You can catch a train and go right to Penn Station.

We stayed at Black Bear Campground in Florida, NY last year and loved it! The resort is in Orange County. They have NYC tours from the campground. You can also drive into the city from there. We would absolutely stay there again when we are going back to the Big Apple.

New York is a big place. I live in NY but am over 380 miles from the city.
If you want New York City, the closest RV park is in Jersey City, NJ. Liberty Harbor RV Park is straight across the river from World Trade Center. Reviews say it is not as nice as its web site would have you believe. It is a big parking lot. http://http://www.campgroundreviews.com/...rsey_City.html, but it is the closest to what you want. There is a ferry that leaves from Liberty Harbor and runs Monday to Friday to Pier 11 at the foot of Wall Street. And tour buses run right from the park to the city regularly.

Liberty Harbor RV "Park"
OK, we stayed at Liberty Harbor Rv park for two days. As stated, it is a parking lot. Elec/water, no sewer, no cable. Very difficult to find. It is located in a run down part of New Jersey by a shipyard. at $83/day I would not go back
If you dare to go there, be sure to book on line. We called and was told there were no spots open. On line, there showed to be several, so we booked two nights.
