Niagara Falls

Has anyone camped near Niagara Falls? We are headed to the American side and need a good campground to stay for a few days.

We stayed at Four Mile Creek St Park. http://nysparks.com/parks/6/details.aspx

A quick 15 minute drive to the falls. Large sites some with 50 amp.

We have been twice and stayed at Niagara Heartland RV Resort in Gasport, NY. If and when we go back I'll stay there again. It is about 20 miles from the falls and is a scenic rid up along the lake shore.

Happy trails.

p.s., It is a Passport America RV Park (was both times we stayed.)

We stayed at Niagara Falls Campground and Lodging for an overnight, and picked it because we could get catch the tour bus there to take us around to various spots we wanted to see. I would NOT recommend that site AT ALL!

Had I paid attention that the "behind the falls" tour is only available on the Canadian side, we would have gotten our passports and stayed at the KOA in Niagara Falls, Canada.
