Niagara falls camping in July

Hi,
I'm planning a week vacation with my friend around the Niagara area in mid-July.
We have two MH (45' and 42').
Anybody have suggestions for a camping with full hook-ups and pull through???

Thanks in advance.

Two years ago we did Niagara Falls in late July and stayed at the Niagara Falls / Grand Island KOA. https://koa.com/campgrounds/niagara-falls-new-york/ It was a nice place and I thought pretty centrally located to see the area. About 10-15 minutes to the falls. It has large pull throughs that would fit your size motorhome. We also visited Fort Niagara and the Anchor Bar in Buffalo where we had a great Italian Dinner and of course some wings.

At the bottom of her photos is a link to 'What to do around the area - U.S. and Canada and also how to take photos of Niagara with awesome photos. Check them out.

Just be careful with booking at the KOA. We thought it was nice overall, but if we were to stay again, we would stay in the front section as the noise from the thruway in the 2nd section was horrible. We were on the very last row, and I don't think it would've been any louder had we been on the thruway. If you stay in the 2nd section, make sure you're in a site closer to the front.

We stayed in Byron, NY at Southwoods RV Resort. It was about an hour to Niagara Falls but we were also closer to Letchworth State Park, which some call the Grand Canyon of the east. Not sure if you are familiar with the vlogger David Bott of Outside Our Bubble but he now owns a lot there and has done several videos of the park.

We stayed on the Canadian side at Campark Resort https://campark.com It worked well for us with a short drive to the Falls.

Don't miss a visit to Welland Canal to watch ships transit the locks. Fun to talk across the water to the crew of the vessels; can't do that in the States cuz you can't get that close.

The town of Niagara-on-the-Lake was also fun to explore.

If you enjoy sushi go to Wind restaurant not far from the above campground. Best we've had in US, Canada, and Mexico. Worth a trip to Ontario just to eat here 😋

I have not looked but if I was heading for that area in July I would have booked my reservations before this. That is prime time for a world wide destination attraction.

If you want to see the Canadian side you will need passports or enhanced drivers licenses to come back. I'd use a towed or rental car to simplify any possible customs issues.

There is enough to do at the Falls on either side for a day. The tourist attractions are better developed on the Canadian side. The city of Niagara Falls was the home of many electrochemical businesses due to cheap power and the easy availability of salt and coal. Most of that disappeared as the result of various cleanup laws.

We stayed at the KOA - 8625 Lundys Lane, Niagra Falls, Ontario, CA the last week of August 2018 in a 43 foot MH. It is a beautiful campground only 5 minutes to the Falls. The park has indoor outdoor pools, hot tubs, dog park, general store. I would highly recommend it. The park is in the city but very convenient to everything. Easy crossing border just have your passports. View of the Falls more spectacular from Canadian side. Plan to go back soon!

Thanks for this post. The state park looks to be just our speed and the suggested things to do in area look great. The park looks to be filling up, but we found several openings in the better loop and booked one for five days. We are looking forward to being there.
