No Spots , What to do.
Been looking everywhere. Heading south after cold front clears out end of next week. This will be are first trip. Having a hard time finding a landing spot near Jacksonville, Florida. Want to visit Daughter in the area. Only need a few days to a week, then on the road again. Checked most of the basic web sights. Without any luck. Hoping maybe someone in the area most have some inside scoop. Thanks in advance.

This lists the parks in the area. Look more inland and all directions away from the big city and look for a Plain Jane park; not one with a ton of activities if you're there for visiting. One with lower ratings might work depending on why they're rated low. Perhaps the reason doesn't matter to you like 'poor internet', no trees, grass; not concrete, etc. Sometimes fairgrounds have a RV park if there's one in the area. City parks/county parks. Good luck!

I’m a little surprised as our snowbird park in WPB is half full...come on down although we are looking forward to a cool front so we can turn the AC off after 7 days.
Several of the Walmarts allow overnight in Jax, several do not.

Google the crap out of this. Camping in Jacksonville, Jacksonville parks, County parks in Jacksonville, etc. Flip to google maps, try searches.
I spent a few minutes, found a military campground and Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park. Look in COJ.net for more info.
My wife is amazing at this. She has found some cheap out of the way county and regional parks that were cheap and had hookups. Just spend some time searching with the internet as your tool. Happy Hunting!

We usually stop in Brunswick GA at Southern Retreat Campground. It's right off I95 and probably less than an hour to Jacksonville. Good luck.

We spent Jan 2-12th in St. Augustine Beach KOA.
It’s very nice, quiet, not big. Has nice RV sites and away from the rat race.
It’s not far from Jacksonville
It was packed New Years Week
