North Beach @ St Augustine

Headed to North Beach RV Resort on Friday afternoon, 6-10-11 and staying through Sunday. Bringing along kids, friends of kids and grandkids. RV for us (with A/C) and tents for the kids and grandkids.

We will be towards the back close to the river in spots 71, 72 and 73. If any one else is there stop by for a cold Coke or a beer or a Crown and 7.

we were there from Wednesday to Saturday - saw you all come in ... I was the guy walking the two "Aussie Doodles" that the kids came to play with ... you all looked like you were having fun ... we had the 2011 Revolution in spot #40 ... great place that I would highly recommend

This is our favorite place to go. I'd say that there is not a bad spot in the place. One time there we had space 104 and that was our least favorite because it was not as shaded as most of the others, but it was a nice spot.

Most of the spots are very nicely shaded with oak trees and they have nice packed sand roads through out the campground.

There is the beach on the east side right across A1A. The inter-coastal water way is on the west side. They have a nice swimming pool and being near St. Augustine there is plenty to do.

I highly recommend it.

We returned home this afternoon and had a great time once again at North Beach.

It was a tiring weekend with all the kids we took along, but we expected that going into this trip. As usual the kids were only interested in the fun to be had and gave very little consideration to helping set up, keeping things picked up and helping take everything down and packed up when it was time to come home, but kids being kids, thats exactly what we exepted would happen.

We did enjoy some free entertainment Saturday evening courtesy of a group of campers from neighboring Putnam county that included one guy with a guitar and several willing vocalists that had a little bit too much to drink. No harm done though and they were very nice and friendly people.

Wife and I are passing off our 4 kids that are still at home to our ex'es for the month of July, so maybe we will get the chance to go back by ourselves.

North Beach Campground

Planning a week there just after Christmas in December......sounds like I picked the right spot.....looking forward to seeing the lights at St. Augustine......we won't have a toad so we'll be looking for some trolley service or car rental.....can anyone give me a heads up on their trolley service? Thanks for any info;;;;
