With as popular as Acadia in in July I am concerned that folks will make reservations for the week before we arrive and the week we intend to stay.
Question is this.
Am I able to change my reservation after I make it say book for 2 weeks then go back At a later time an cut out one week or do I have to start all over and book a new reservation __________________

The Ohio State Parks had the same issue with people
"reserving" a 2 week period, and then at a later date, Cancelling the 12 days they didn't
really didn't want and keeping the 2 days of the second weekend they only wanted. Ohio nipped that in the bud, by:
If you make a change to your reservation once you book it, such as cancelling 7 days of a 2 week stay, you have to cancel the whole 2 week reservation and it becomes open play again ( put back in the system) the next morning at 7am.
When I made my reservation for Acadia for
mid-Sept this year, at the 6 month period (before hand) there were 4 sites available for my day of arrival. You have about 10 seconds to do a on-line reservation starting at 10am. By 10.00.10am all 4 were taken. Yes I was lucky to get a site. Yes, if you want the quite side of Acadia, Schoodic Woods is it. The other loop for the shorter RV's (under 25' Loop "A") there were plenty of sites to reserve, but the sites in the "B" loop (pull-thru's) go fast... Huge sites....best national park campground we ever stayed at. Wi-Fi was available at about 60% of the campsites or at "every" restroom. Every restroom has one or two Wi-Fi repeaters. Excellent bike trails...around the whole park.
We stayed 7 nights at Blackwoods and 7 at Schoodic. So we got a taste of both sides of Acadia. If your lucky to get a site at Schoodic, try the
Pickled Wrinkle restaurant in near by Birch Harbor. Get there early (5pm) to get a seat. I think we eat there 3 times...
