I can not compare the two parks. I have stayed at Oak Plantation, in July of 2006. My review is in the Campground Review Section of the iRV2 site. The bottom line is I would stay at this CG again. The sites are level and the CG is quiet. Before they assign you a site, if you have sat TV. Some site can get it and some can not.

Spent four days there last Dec. Cannot speak to their amenities, used it as a point of operations to enjoy the attractions (there are many) in the area and that worked out very well. Used the RV dealer next door when the slide on our screen door broke. They got it in the next day and were so helpful we spent a couple extra bucks stocking up on tank chemicals etc. to show our appreciation. Would stop there again if in the area.

Not sure which county park we visited, but one has great drive through Christmas display. Spoke over hot chocolate with a couple of workkampers who have returned for several years to work the event and they specifically mentioned how nice that cg was. It may be another option.

on edit:
Had to lookup the name of the park, it was James Island, Holiday Festival of Lights and it is a "got to do"¯ for anyone in the area during the weeks before Christmas.

Enjoy Mike
