Traveling full-time for 16 years in our 40' MH we always found a place to stay without reservations and no, not WalMart. We didn't do RV parks though. We sought out national parks - yes, our 40' fit in the majority of them, forest service, BLM, county, city parks and boondocking on public lands. If we would have had to make reservations for every day for 16 years we would have never RV'd. I guess it just depends on what your needs are. We were self-contained so didn't need hookups, pools and clubhouses.

This is what I want to be when I grow up! I would love to sit around a camp fire with you folks.

Learn how to read the reviews, especially the really bad ones.

How many posts has the contributor made? Where? Look them up. Are they all complaints or an excessively low rating over a minor issue? Lots of these people have nothing to say unless they are complaining about it. They are professional whiners.

There is no standard grading system on Campground Reviews. My system is to start every campground with a 10 rating & start deducting points or 1/2 points depending on the issue. I don't give a low score just because the person at the office was grumpy.
