We stayed December 2011 at Silver Palms. They had a special rate at that time. It is a beautiful gated park and everyone was extremely friendly. Lot's of activities if you want to attend. We were required to go through the sales pitch but they do not pressure you at all. The weather in December was great. I think you would really enjoy this resort.

There is a very good KOA right on 441 just south of town. Very nice. Activities and full services. Close to Walley World, Publix, Winn Dixie, liquor store, and of course THE TRACTOR STORE.. Another beautiful park on Highway 78 in Lakeport.

Stayed at Silver Palms for 3 months in 2010. If you like to fish it is a great area. Biking isn't bad on the rim of the lake.
It's cattle country. Not a resort type area.
