Orange Beach, Foley, AL area questions

We have reservations at Pandion Ridge RV Resort in Orange Beach for couple of weeks in mid January. Other than the usual shopping, places to feed your face, etc., are there other interesting things to do in the area? Neither of us are Casino fans.

I like to hire a local fishing guide wherever I go but not sure about the fishing opportunities in January.

From there we have reservations in Perdido Key for a week then maybe plan to head down to Titusville to visit the Kennedy Space Center.

Actually winter fishing can be pretty good in the Gulf. Not familiar with your destination, but I bet there are locals around who can tell you and recommend a guide

Have a look at the calendars for the Cities of Mobile AL and Pensacola FL ... lots of activities ... 40 minutes to either.

Awesome RV park. Wish we were joining you! Try Blaylock (SP) seafood market. GS not OB. $20 shrimp boil to go. Delicious!!

Pensacola, the Navy Flight Museum is free and outstanding if you like planes. If in PNS, get any seafood you like, or sushi, at Joe Pattis.

In Gulf Shores, you can go to the end of the spit and take the ferry to Mobile/Dauphin Island. See the battleship and museum over there.

In OB, take a porpoise cruise so you can see a lot of water, nicer homes, and plenty of open space.

If you like NICE marinas, get to the one (Barber's)on the way to Pirate's Cove (home of the song, "Cheeseburger in Paradise", and browse the outboard motor collection while sitting in $4,000 carved chairs that sit on IPE wood decking. Pretty neat.

The NAS museum in Pensacola is a must see. While in Pensacola you have to visit Joe Patti's seafood market, biggest best stocked seafood market on the gulf. Hudson Marina in OBA has a dinner cruise, not sure if it runs in January. There are five very nice RV parks that you can own in the area, I like to visit just to see what can be done on a RV lot. Heritage, Terry Cove, Bella Terra, Lake Osprey, and Beuna Vista. You can spend a day just exploring what you can own.
