Lots of campgrounds in the area. Detroit lake will not be full this summer. Take a look at Suttle Lake. They have a nice facility there. You can explore Sunriver, Sisters, Bend and they have terrific fireworks over the 4th. You will have a good time I'm sure.

Due to lack of snow pack most of the reservoirs will be really low this summer. Detroit lake has a large state park, but it is inhabited by a lot of boaters. For quieter Suttle lake or Metolious river camp grounds will be quieter. You could also go over on the McKenzie at Belknap HotSprings resort, which offers full hook ups, two thermally heated pools, and access to nearby hot springs.
