Hi -

I'm looking for a CG reasonably near (and reasonably-priced) the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, for a week or so in mid-November. Won't need to be fancy or with a lot of amenities, since we'll be gone during the day.

The Convention Center is actually a bit SW of the city-proper, at I-4 and US-528. I did find a few CG's in the general Orlando area (mostly north and northeast), but they all involve what I magine will be quite a bit of stop-and-go traffic during the rush-hours.

Any suggestions on either a CG or about the traffic?

TIA,
Ron

Not a lot close to the Convention center but you could try Tropical Palms or Turkey Lake SP

Try Encore on Rt 192, or Outdoor Resorts on Rt 192. There are several on Rt 27 near Rt192. That intersection is out in the country about 20 minutes from the convention center and far enough away from the crowded traffic areas.

We stay at Sherwood Forest RV Resort in the winter. It is an Encore park. A lot of the convention RVer's stay there. The price is the most reasonable for the area.

It really is not that far from the convention center and as far as the traffic, it is about normal for the Orlando area.

The phone number is 407-396-7431 this number will get you right to the office at Sherwood. The 800 number listed on the website gets you to someplace that is not at Sherwood office and will get you a reservation that you might not like. Best to use the direct office number to talk to Doris, Nicole, or Tracy.

Sherwood Forest
