Overnight suggestions I-65 Decatur or Hartselle

From Central Ohio we will be heading down to Pensacola late March (2014) and will taking I-65.

Looking for a single overnight, someplace easy to get in and out of.

I figure along the highway between Decatur to Hartselle is a little better than half way but we can move that stop up or down depending on recommendations.

Thank you....

Gary and Cindy

Hi Gary & Cindy,

We don't get this far our first day out of Michigan so haven't tried any RV parks in that area. We are currently at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, AL and stopped for the night at Two Rivers Campground in Nashville. This was our third time here - a good spot for an overnight or a few nights if catching a Grand Ole Opry show or the bars downtown.

You might check out Northgate RV Travel Park just north of Athens, AL. Looks to have very convenient access from and to I-65. Pretty good reviews also.

Good luck and safe travels,

Larry & Linda...

we have stayed here in the past. Cullman Campground not a resort for sure but is decent for an overnight. The roads into the park have a couple of tight turns but I did it just fine when I had my 5er and HDT combo.
