Oxford Mississippi in winter?

Is oxford ms doable in winter (no long periods of freezing weather?) if so anyone know of good parks for 13 weeks down there?

Oxford should be fine weather wise. Will have a few days under freezing, but not long spells.

Never camped there, though.

Depends on the winter but we seldom drop below freezing temps for more than overnight. As long as you keep your furnace on you should not have freezing problems. I don't know of a campground in or near Oxford. Your options would be campgrounds around Tupelo 45 minutes east of Oxford or campgrounds around Sardis Reservoir west of Oxford. I live about an hour southeast of Oxford but haven't camped at any of the campgrounds around Sardis. Some of the COE campgrounds along the Tenn-Tombigbee Waterway "Tupelo area" close for the winter. The western most Tupelo campground would be Trace State Park, I think it remains open year round.
